The CDBS provides individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital.
The amount of dental benefits available to eligible patients is capped at $1,132 per eligible patient over two consecutive calendar years. This maximum amount of dental benefits is known as the benefit cap and the two consecutive calendar years is known as the relevant two year period.

Nambucca Dental Surgery has upgraded its facilities and now offer some of the lowest dose x-rays on the Mid-North Coast.
Dental health week reported in 2012 that at the age of 6 half of all Australian children will have some form of tooth decay.
Quite simply there are two main factors behind this statistic:
